Lifespan integration is a therapeutic process
in which the therapists goal is to connect the
client's present self, with her/his past self.
This is accomplished by mapping out the
client's memories, and then choosing one
of those events and taking the client back
in time to that event. They then resolve an
issue, connect with their former self and
take their former self up through time to
the present in order to connect the two
Narrative therapy is a method that uses the
concept of stories and applies them to ones
life. This allows the client and therapist to
solve problems from a distance, meaning
both the client and therapist are mentally
distanced from the problem.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
CBT is a therapy where new ways of thinking
are suggested to the client to improve their
everyday life. In doing so the client may
improve her/his life one suggestion at a time.
Humanistic therapy aims to inform the client of
his/her current status in the now and aid in
recognizing their strengths and talents. It seeks
to help one grow, and enforce their creativity.
Solution Focused Therapy
Solution focused therapy or brief therapy
focuses on solutions in order to solve
problems one may be experiencing.
Unlike other therapeutic methods,
solution focused therapy does not focus
on the origin of the problems a client may
